about

Created for a photography exhibit by Daniel Paashaus entiltled "Handbook for the proper conditioned response" These tracks were installed around single photographs, or groupings of photographs.
"Lymph-static's music is adjacent to the personality wrapped behind the collected found sounds and melodic discordance of the composer. Recently, in a phone conversation with the author of these electro-acoustic reveries, Ian Hansson, the phone was briefly placed his right pocket presumably, when he was in the process of ordering an eggplant parmesan. Paper thin crumbles, lo-fi consumers chatting, and various specs of consumerism debris resonated through the speaker. This went on for a few minutes, until the conversation was resumed after the purchase had been completed, in what was assumed to be in a supermarket in Pennsylvania, USA, somewhere. The experience from the receiving end was both perplexing and harmonious art the same time. In his work the essence of life itself is evident and contained. You can hear the hands of the worker, in motion. Cement saws and industrial machines humming, at work. You can hear the hidden dimensions of patriotism. A wobbly record player tries to blare out national anthems while a native american reads the bible. You can hear the sounds of everyday life. Airplane xerox/detox jet noise and collective assemblies of swarming x and y axis citizen surfing. Post modern nature. Modems in the woods. Shopping malls and the entertainment within its controlled space. Blaring light rays, and the final moments of compos mentis. Transmitting ethereal earth pictures, right on the heels of the 2012 Mayan prophesies. The observer of this sound transcends to archeological instincts and can only conclude that consciousness is accurately one elephantine collage, with both splendor and discomposure co-dependent."-Vladimir Zodov, Pepper Clouds 2009
